We all know the classic television trope that involves mockingly asking someone: “Why you hitting yourself? Stop hitting yourself,” all while usually knowing it’s a) classic bullying tactics or b) damaging to someone’s physical or mental wellbeing.

I really didn’t want to admit it but like most of life’s lessons it was revealed over time to me.
- Stupid red light! Why did it have to turn now??
- Ughh the grocery store line is so long! Why does it have to be so crowded right now??
- This dress doesn’t fit anymore! Oh no, now what will I wear and how did this happen???
- My project for work is due tomorrow?! But I’ve been busy complaining about my life I haven’t had time to focus on work!!!
(Yes, I meant to use that much unnecessary punctuation as it expresses my unnecessary emotional resistance)
